Ellmau Ski Resort
Ellmau lies at the head of the SkiWelt area; one of the largest inter-connected ski areas in the world. Offering you access to 280km of downhill skiing, 186 individual pistes, and 90 ski lifts; Ellmau is home to a beautiful terrain with an enormous variety of slopes where 180km are covered in real and artificial snow.
At the village level, you have wide and gentle nursery slopes where beginners can explore before heading to more challenging runs. What’s more, being in the village, it’s easier to pop back into the town for a quick snack or a nap if your accommodation happens to be close by. Aside from these nursery slopes, you can find a beginner-friendly area at the top of the funicular.
Intermediates will have the time of their lives, as Ellmau is conveniently connected to other ski areas in SkiWelt. In fact, there’s a circuit linking more than 20 categories of runs between Ellmau and a handful of other villages.
Experts have eight black runs on that particular circuit, which also makes it quite suitable for them as well. All in all, it’s a beautiful village and is certainly a key resort in the SkiWelt area.
