An attractive French ski resort tied to L’Espace San Bernardo ski area offers access to 286km of downhill skiing, 156 individual pistes and 53 ski lifts. La Rosiere itself is a resort spanning 160km of ski runs.
This French ski resort provides an incredible experience filled with variety, excitement, and a blend of cultures. La Rosiere is the sole Savoie resort offering an international landscape because it is linked to La Thuille, a resort associated with the Italian Aosta Valley ski area.
Beginners have easy access to three free lifts and a green area dedicated solely to them, including two other zones: Clarine and Lievre Blanc.
Intermediates are best served by everyone else visiting the resort. They have an endless choice of blue and red runs on French and Italian soil divided by the border. The San Bernardo and Nuova combined stretch over 11km.
If we add La Thuile to the mix for expert skiers, we have about 16 black runs. Expert skiers can delve in for a rush of pure adrenaline. Each run is graded according to its level of steepness, so the black runs in La Rosiere and La Thuile can be quite intimidating.
La Roisere offers a relaxed apres-ski scene, perfect for families, couples, and those seeking a calm alpine experience. The resort’s cosy bar and restaurants, like Le Petit Danois and The Comptoir, provide a welcoming place to unwind with good food and drinks. While it doesn’t have the energetic nightlife of larger resorts, La Rosiere excels in creating a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere.
