Les Arcs Ski Resort
Les Arcs is a purpose-built ski resort with traditional villages and towns on the borders. It is part of the huge Paradiski ski area, which comprises several areas: Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, and Arc 2000. Each is situated at a different altitude and has its character and atmosphere.
This well-known family-friendly resort has a great selection of pistes for beginner and intermediate skiers. Expert skiers can head to the Aiguille Rouge for something special. The exciting 2km descent takes you to Villaroger. Otherwise, a snow park is suitable for hours of freestyle fun above Arc 1600.
With 425km of pistes, the highest lift at 3250m, varied terrain, and a great snow record, there is plenty of scope on the mountain for beginners through to experts. There is also an infamous speed skiing course, which still holds the current world record. In 2003, Les Arcs was joined to La Plagne by the Vanoise Express cable car from Plan Peisey.
