The joint area of Scheffau and the SkiWelt area, which Scheffau is right in the middle of, offers an impressive 284km of ski runs and over 90 lifts. Of the 284km of runs approximately 250km of that is covered with fresh snow through snowmaking, the SkiWelt area has an impressive 1,700 snow machines.
The Scheffau area itself boasts 43 pistes and 46km of skiable slopes along with fifteen modern ski lifts to take you exactly where you need to be. The wide and gentle slopes of Scheffau are perfect for novices and beginners allowing plenty of room to practice and improve without hassle. The ski slopes themselves are suited to intermediates and beginners, because there is only 2km of slope suited to experts while there are 23km of red pistes and 17km of blue pistes.
