Snowmass Ski Resort
The clue is in the name: Snowmass is regularly covered in fresh Colorado powder during the season. The Snowmass ski area covers more than 3,300 acres, which includes 94 trails over 150 miles. Snowmass is also home to three terrain parks and pipes. Some trails stretch as long as 5 miles, so a stop at one of the seven on-mountain restaurants will be perfect for a stop and rest. One of the locals (who happens to be the World Extreme Skiing Champion) says, “Snowmass has some of the best steeps, cliffs, couloirs, backcountry, terrain parks, and powder anywhere in North America.” It competes with the likes of Vail and Breckenridge.
Over 9/10 of the lodging in Snowmass is ski-in/ski-out, so you won’t need to waste any time when it comes to getting to the slopes. It’s also a good job; there’s so much to do in Snowmass that you will need time to enjoy everything they offer, including on-mountain concerts, family-friendly dining, races and competitions and hundreds of other activities! Snowmass is one ski area that is part of the huge Aspen/Snowmass ski area, including the other ski areas, such as Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk Mountain.
