Austria
A snowy end to the week is expected for most areas, with 5-15cm (2-6″) of snowfall daily, leading to total accumulations of 15-45cm (6-18″) by the weekend. Temperatures will vary, with highs of +5°C in lower valleys during the afternoon and lows plunging to -20°C overnight on higher slopes. Skies are expected to clear over the weekend.
France
The forecast is mixed, with heavy snowfall predicted above 2,500m, potentially exceeding 60cm (several feet). However, rain is likely at times below 2,000m as the snowline shifts between 500m and 2,500m. Conditions should stabilise from the weekend.
Italy
Settled weather is expected across Italy for the rest of the week, with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will remain below freezing above 1,500m, with overnight lows reaching -10°C above 2,500m. Lower valleys will see warmer conditions.
Switzerland
Snowy weather continues through the weekend, with accumulations potentially reaching up to a metre (40″) on high slopes over seven days. However, the freezing point could rise to 2,000m midweek, increasing the chance of rain on lower terrain.
Pyrenees
Mostly sunny conditions will dominate the week, with temperatures ranging from -5°C to +6°C. A band of light to moderate snow showers is expected to pass through at the start of the weekend.
Scandinavia
Clear and sunny weather is forecast for most of the week, with occasional light snowfall. Temperatures will remain extremely cold, ranging from -10°C to -25°C across the region.
Eastern Europe
Subzero temperatures will persist, with light snowfall expected in the Northeast later this week. Further south, dry and sunny weather will continue through to the weekend.
Consistent snowfall and subzero temperatures across much of Europe are creating fantastic conditions for skiing, with sunny spells providing a welcome break in some regions.

Travel by train is becoming popular with younger skiers that are being welcomed into the ski community, who want to lower their carbon footprint. So if you’re departing from the train station (whether it’s in Switzerland, France, Italy, or Austria) we can collect you from there and take you straight to your ski resort. All you need to do is make a booking online, after which you’ll receive an email confirmation and can sit back – we’ll be there at the station, ready and waiting to transfer you to your accommodation! For your return journey, you’ll receive a text alert the day before your return – the text will confirm pickup location and time. Simple.
